Coroplast, the Company, started making the first generation of Coroplast printable materials during the mid 1970s in Quebec, Canada. Since that time, they have grown with construction and acquisition of plastics plants and research facilities in the US.

Their highest selling product for the printing industry is a second generation product called Coroplast Smooth. It is a polypropylene copolymer co-extruded twin-wall fluted sheet electronically treated to accept and retain certain formulations of ink for printing. The material is extremely lightweight, durable and economical. The material is water and stain resistant and lasts in harsh outdoor conditions for years if properly taken care of.

In the print industry, Coroplast products have been successfully used for over thirty years in printing applications including: Point of Purchase Displays, indoor graphic displays, outdoor retail signs, real estate signs, campaign signs, bus signage, special event advertising and trade displays. Best known for yard signs and sidewalk or sandwich board signs, Coroplast Smoothâ„¢ is a proven, value added material for many applications.

Point of Purchase Displays – Coroplast materials are extensively used in end caps, floor stands and display bars requiring a vibrant, catching message, ease of design, and durability. These materials are readily cut and finished into any configuration and accept a wide range of inks and design materials.

Indoor Graphic Displays – These materials are used extensively for booths specifically designed and fabricated for use at trade shows. The material is durable and light weight, allowing for continuous assembly and disassembly. Booths are often designed using a modular approach so that when a product or component of their offering changes only one piece of the booth needs to be revised.

Outdoor Retail Signs – This material is excellent for the A-Frame sidewalk sign otherwise known as the sandwich board sign. It can be printed on one side or two. One sided printing applies to the A-Frame sidewalk application and two sided printing applies to free standing signs where the sign fits into a frame visible from multiple directions.

Yard Signs – This application includes real estate signs, election signs, garage sale signs and many more. Coroplast materials work well for yard signs for many reasons, but the primary ones include ease of placement and low cost. When printed with the fluting vertical, H-Stake stands can be used to support the signs. The H-Stake prongs poke up into the fluting of the sign and into the soil to provide a stationary and durable base for display. The sign is easily repositioned for highest visibility.

The above include only a few of the myriad of applications for Coroplast printed products. Those applications addressed above and the many more that were not addressed have the same benefits; ease of use and quality, durability and economy of the finished product.
